| Then and Now |
When were you at JESS? From Year 7, the year after Arabian Ranches opened its secondary, all the way to the Class of 2015. I did the IB, played every sport going, and spent most lunchtimes on the real-grass pitches.
And now? Sport Sciences at Exeter, a PGCE, three years teaching in Bristol - and in 2023 I came home to teach PE at JESS Arabian Ranches. Some of my old teachers are now my colleagues, which takes some getting used to.
The time capsule? In January 2025 more than thirty of us came back to unearth the capsule we buried in 2015. My Year 9s watched me open a letter I had written to myself at eighteen. They have not let me forget it.
One word for JESS? Home.
The Class of 2017 open theirs on 9 January 2027 - register here.
